How to Join the Brook Lyons Photography Model Team: Your Step-by-Step Guide
Thinking about becoming a BLP Senior Model? Here’s exactly how to do it, and what happens before, during, and after you apply!
Being on the Brook Lyons Photography Model Team isn’t just about amazing portraits (although, YES, the images are next-level). It’s about fun, friendships, creativity, confidence, and unforgettable senior year memories. Want in? Here’s how the magic begins!
Step 1: Join the Waiting List
This is your first move! Drop your name and graduation year on the waitlist so we know you're interested. There’s no commitment at this stage, just a little wave saying, “Hey, I think I might want to be a part of this!”
Why this matters: It guarantees you'll be the first to know when applications open. Spots are limited and they go fast!
Step 2: Watch for Pre-Application Info
Once you're on the list, you’ll start receiving emails (and maybe even a few texts) with fun behind-the-scenes content and sneak peeks. You’ll learn what the model team is all about, see some of the incredible sessions, and hear directly from past team members.
Pro Tip: We’ll also send reminders so you don’t miss key deadlines. You don’t have to remember everything—we’ve got you!
Step 3: Submit Your Application
When applications officially open (usually in January!), you’ll fill out a quick form where we ask about your personality, interests, confidence level on camera, and why you want to be part of the BLP Model Team.
Tip: Be yourself! We’re not looking for “models.” We’re looking for kind, enthusiastic, expressive seniors who want to make the most of their year. No modeling experience required, just a great attitude and a willingness to have fun!
Step 4: Parent Info + Chat
If you're under 18, we’ll also ask for a little info from your parent or guardian, because let’s be real, they’re the ones paying for this experience (thanks, parents!). Once we’ve reviewed your application, we’ll set up a quick meeting with you and your parent/guardian (either on Zoom or in person) to go over all the details.
We’ll talk through how the model team works - what’s included, what the expectations are, and how the sessions, events, and investments are structured. This is super important so that everyone’s on the same page and excited for the year ahead!
And don’t worry, this isn’t an interview. It’s just a relaxed chat to answer questions, share ideas, and get everyone feeling confident and ready for what’s next.
Step 5: The Official Invite
Once we’ve reviewed your application and had our quick chat, we’ll let you know if you’ve been accepted to the team! Cue the happy dance. If you’re in, you’ll get all the juicy details about what happens next, including your invite to our legendary Meet & Greet.
