Welcome to This is Me! Our community teen/tween empowerment program.

I created This is Me to help kids and support parent teachings during those tricky tween and teen years when kids start tuning out the lessons they get at home (we’ve all been there, right?). Ages 11–14 are a critical time for building confidence, especially as they face pressures from social media and life’s challenges. This program combines uplifting activities, inspiring speakers, and a portrait experience that celebrates who they are and what they look like with pride. Our mission is to help these kids thrive, feel seen, and walk away knowing their value.

This one-of-a-kind program is designed to empower kids to embrace their true selves, build confidence, and thrive. Through themed sessions, we provide a creative and uplifting space where participants can explore their individuality, connect with peers, and grow into the best versions of themselves.

What Makes This Program Unique?

This is a guided, confidence-building portrait experience. At each event, participants enjoy a combination of unedited photo sessions, inspiring guest speakers, and fun, engaging activities that are all centered around boosting self-esteem and fostering a positive mindset.

Themed Photo Sessions

Each event features a new, creative portrait theme. Participants receive a professional, unedited 5X7 portrait that celebrates their natural beauty with no filters, just authenticity. We provide coaching so they know how to pose for a great photo and the more they come, the better this skill so they no longer need to feel awkward in front of a camera.

Inspiring Guest Speakers at every session includes: a short, impactful talk by a community leader or professional. Topics focus on confidence, stress management, personal growth, and more.

Fun and Interactive Activities: From creative projects to team-building exercises, each session is designed to be engaging and meaningful, encouraging connection and self-expression.

A deeper appreciation of their natural beauty and individuality, strengthened confidence to navigate life’s challenges, a network of supportive peers, and a collection of meaningful, unedited portraits reflecting their authentic selves. We have 3 adults present at each event so that your child can feel safe and also know that more adults care about them.

The cost is $30 per session and includes everything your child needs for an unforgettable experience.

How much is it?

$30 per event! That’s it! For an event full of empowerment, creativity, and connection. We’re passionate about serving teens and feel they’re often underserved in our communities. This is an investment in your child’s confidence and joy!

What’s included in the program fee?

Your fee covers themed photo sessions, guest speakers, snacks, drinks, props, professional backdrops, and a 5x7 print each month. Everything is thoughtfully curated to make every session impactful and memorable.

What Your Child Will Experience:

Guided portrait session (no awkward posing).

A professional portrait they’ll be proud of.

How do you decide which image to print?

You get one gorgeous 5X7 print from each event (although there is an order deadline so be sure to order by the due date).

After each session, we’ll send you a link to an online gallery where you can choose your favorite image. Simply click the heart below your chosen portrait, and we’ll handle the rest. You can also download the image to share with friends and family.

When do I get my print?

Your print will be ready a few weeks after you make your selection. You can pick it up at the studio or at the next monthly event, whichever is more convenient for you!

What if my child misses a session?

We understand life happens! Attendance isn’t mandatory. If your child misses a session, just let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. You can transfer your fee to the next event but we don't offer refunds. However, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, your fee in non-transferable and forfeit because we have already ordered food and drinks for them.

Is this program suitable for all teens/tweens?

Yes! The program is designed for kids of all personalities and interests.

This is perfect for kids who:

Are shy or unsure of themselves.

Are outgoing but still need confidence and direction.

Compare themselves to others.

Want to feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Just need a space where they can be themselves.

However, please note that we are not therapists or mental health professionals. Our goal is to assist parents by providing tools and experiences that build confidence, self-esteem, and life skills in a fun and supportive environment. For more serious concerns, we encourage families to seek professional help alongside participation in this program.

What do I do if I want to be considered as a presenter?
